Applications are now open for Rhinebeck Writers Retreat’s summer residencies. Are you a writing team that could benefit from focusing solely on writing your musical for one week in the Hudson Valley? Rhinebeck received our highest grant ever from the New York State Council on the Arts this year. Plus, the ASCAP Foundation increased their grant and is supporting 2 weeklong residencies with at least 1 ASCAP member. Rhinebeck is having 9 consecutive weeklong residencies for 9 writing teams, up from 8 last year, and are increasing our writer stipend to $550 per writer. Thanks to NYSCA, the NEA, and all our donors, all the writers’ costs are covered, including the writers’ home, food, transportation, air travel to $750 and a $550 stipend per writer. First deadline is Feb. 13 at 6:00pm EST and has no fee. Final deadline is Feb. 27 at 6:00pm EST with a $30 fee. Writers can apply online at www.rhinebeckwriters.org
