Additionally, please understand, due to staffing levels (and a desire to keep unsolicited submissions free), we can only accept <strong>the first 100 unsolicited submissions*</strong> received in 2020-2021. <strong>*Important Update: Nov. 3, 10AM. Wow, barely 48 hours after opening the window for unsolicited applications, we now must close it, as we have already received 112 unsolicited submissions, all of which we have accepted.</strong> There will be no way to successfully submit an unsolicited script through the form in the 2020-2021 cycle. While we would like to accept work from all writers wishing to submit, at this pace we would have been overwhelmed with potentially thousands of scripts. Our reading committee is <em>not</em> large (<em>or paid</em>), and as headed by graduate playwrights, they value adhering to a “no submission fee”, which further informs this decision. Please plan to send us your play in the following cycle. While this may disappoint, the silver lining is there’s a lot of new work in the pipeline! Writers have been writing, which gives hope for when we are back in the theatre and back at work.
