COMMENTS:
A dog’s mother teaches her courage, loyalty and miscellaneous virtues so that when she is given to a loving family and the nursery catches fire, she saves the life of the baby. To show his gratitude, the baby’s father performs a scientific experiment on the dog’s only beloved puppy that turns it blind and then kills it. The moral of this story is no good deed goes unpunished, a difficult idea for a musical.
