The Nice People TITLE OF SOURCE: AUTHOR'S NAME - FIRST: LAST: DESCRIPTION: Visual Text "I don't want," we heard Mr. Jacobus say, "to enter in no man's pry-vacy; but I do want to know who it may be, like, that I hev in my house. Now what I ask of you, and I don't want you to take it as in no ways personal, is--hev you your merridge-license with you?" COMMENTS: Visual Text This is a very slight story, but the characters are clearly drawn, and there's a nice unity of focus of place, time and action. Features three distinct couples, and could make a lovely six-person show. (Or five, as you could eliminate the landlord's wife.) Some potential here, and perhaps coupled with another tale could make for a happy evening of musical theatre.
